Fethiye town
The town of Fethiye, Mugla, is situated in Anatolia and is noted for its natural beauty, historical value and its tourist attractions and is located on the Mediterranaean coastline.
Overlooking a stunning bay, the town is an ancient place crowned by the ruins of a fortress built by the Knights of Rhodes, and in the steep cliffs surrounding it ancient Lycian tombs are carved out of the rock face.
The sea front is a beautiful corniche, recently renovated and stretching some 3km along the sea front. Some excellent teahouses and bars are along the route passing the moored pleasure boats and meandering through some lovely little parks.
There are numerous culinary delights available in Fethiye, including cafes, bars, lokantas, pide salons, posh restaurants and some gems tucked away along the side streets. There is also the famous fish market. If you are self catering there are any number of modern supermarkets, one of which is very close to the villa , as is a superb pork butchers shop within a mile of the villa.
